Firstly, I'd like to wish all of you a very Happy New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful and peaceful Christmas.
Congratulations to our 3 new Captains on taking office. Steve Nicholson, our new Men's Captain endured a very wet drive-in on Sunday morning, but hit a beauty, straight down the middle. Thanks to all who came down in the pouring rain to support Steve. Sue Seys-Llewelyn will be driving in for the Ladies on Wednesday morning and George Stockton, the Junior Captain will do the same, although perhaps not as straight on Saturday. We wish all 3 Captains a fantastic year.
Some of you will have heard that the club are embarking on a very ambitious programme to support the growth of the game in the local area by committing to get more young people playing. With this in mind, the junior AGM is taking place on Saturday morning at 10am and I would like as many juniors as possible to come along to hear about the plans.
Also, if any of you know a pupil from either Waverton or Christleton School who might be interested in learning or advancing their golf, please bring them along to the AGM. If you have any questions prior to Saturday please click here to get in touch or phone the pro shop, 01244335826.
It promises to be a very exciting year!
Following our fantastic Black Friday, I am pleased to announce that we are currently running a January Sale. All goods in the shop are reduced to make space for the new stock due in over the coming weeks. Fabulous, genuine bargains mean that we have, by far, the lowest prices in the country on lots of items.
If there is anything you need please drop in and have a look, and don't hesitate to ask one of the pro shop team if you would like any professional advice.

I have put a lot of work over the last few months into getting full simulation in the swing room. We are now very close, and over the next few weeks we will be able to offer you the chance to take part in our monthly nearest the pin competitions. as well as giving you the option of playing a round at some of the world's most famous golf courses including The Old Course, St Andrews and Pebble Beach. It might be a great way of keeping your game in shape without having to suffer the winter weather.
We can also use the launch monitor to give you accurate ball and club fittings, gapping sessions as well as lessons.
I will be launching all of this with a special grand opening as soon as we can...
Watch this space!
I'm sure you will all agree these are very exciting times at Eaton Golf Club and my staff and I wish you all a fantastic time golfing in 2016.
