I'm going to start this week's newsletter with a mention of long standing member and customer Ian Hodgkinson. Ian has recently been fitted for a new set of Titleist AP2 irons which he is now in the proud possession of. 

When Ian came along for a session with me on the launch monitor, I was delighted to manage to find a specification which produced outstanding results for him. Upon trying his new irons he reported back how straight they were going and said the immortal words "if you weren't so ugly I'd kiss you!" 

Equally impressive were the number gains achieved when another Ian, our very popular Mr Graves came along for his fitting session. Ian has been a long time PING player, and so we got the very latest PING G model in for him to try. Although an improvement on his old G25's they were no match for the Yonex Z Force in graphite, 2 degrees upright that he ended up ordering. A nice tight shot dispersion and a distance gain of around 20 yards meant that Ian will be improving his greens hit figures immediately.

Finally, ex member and Waverton resident Peter Sykes recently came along for a new driver. After a very successful fitting, Peter ordered a new for 2016 Callaway XR 16 with a shaft I would never have guessed beforehand. The results, an email from Peter a few days after he picked his club up saying how really pleased he is with "better distance, forgiveness, and that he is even driving the ball straight".
