Nick is the Daddy

Congratulations to Nick Foxon my assistant of 12 years and his wife Charlotte who gave birth this morning to baby Noah. Mother and son are both well. Noah was born around 5am this morning and weighed just under 8lbs. 

As a result of Nick is taking 2 weeks paternity leave from today, and as Steve is now full time coaching and no longer with me in the shop, I will be restricted for lessons during this period unless they are before or after normal shop hours. My son Cameron will be helping me out a little, but until he is used to things I will only leave him at quiet times. I hope you will understand that this is only a temporary measure, but if you are desperate for help with your game please get in touch and I will do everything possible to find a lesson slot for you.

Close but no cigar

Last week I talked about how well touring pro Graham Roberts did in his first round shooting a -5 under 67 to be 1 shot off the lead in the EuroPro event. It turns out that he was ill prior to playing and went into the first round low on energy and even lower on expectation. After this he went into the 2nd and 3rd rounds, still ill but expecting to repeat his great play. Unfortunately it didn't happen. It just goes to show how hard making the breakthrough is. Graham does all the right things. We wish him well with the rest of the season.
