It's only 2 weeks to go now until the Ryder Cup, have you got your ticket yet? Can Europe win again and make it 4 in a row? Or will USA come through? It's bound to be a fantastic event whether you are going to Hazeltine like past captain Bob Costello, or just watching at home.
It's the tour championship first and then Davis Love will make his final pick. Will Bubba miss out? The current number 7 in the world rankings was not one of the first 3 picks which was a surprise to me. I watched him at Celtic Manor and he was unbelievable, and his Ryder Cup record is a winning one at 5W, 5D, 4L.
Unfortunately for Bubba all 3 of those losses came last time at Gleneagles when he failed to pick up a point.
Is he a team player? Absolutely not it would seem. In a poll of PGA tour players Bubba was the man when everyone voted who they would be least likely to help out in a bar fight. Not looking good for him is it? Yet Rickie Fowler who has an awful Ryder Cup record, no wins from 8 matches is a Captains pick. It's going to be fascinating to watch this week and see if any of the players at East Lake make a claim for that final spot. I can't wait.
Nearer to home, it's our Autumn Meeting on Sunday and we will again be running a book on the best gross and best nett scores on the day. We did this earlier this year for the first time on day 2 of the Club Championships and it was well received by everyone.
Half of any profits made will be put into the junior development fund, so why not have a go? Back yourself, your mates, the favourite?
On another note, thanks to everyone who supported the Muscular Dystrophy charity day last Friday. Your generosity raised over £10 000 for this really worthwhile cause.

Here in your pro shop we are keen to help you prepare for the elements in every way possible, and now is the perfect time to give your game some TLC before the winter months roll in.
In particular it is vitally important to check both your grips and your spikes.
Grips that are shiny and worn will cause you to lose your grip on the club causing more mishit shots throughout your round. Drop in and we can fit you for a brand new tacky grip that will help you combat these conditions. We can also help you find the perfect sized grip for you which will be of huge benefit to your game.
As well as this, it is key to check the spikes on the bottom of your shoes. This is an area that is often left unnoticed, but can cause your feet to slip out on the course, whether during the swing, or just when walking from tee to green.
Don't let yourself become a victim of the elements and drop into the pro shop today.
