The Moore Trophy was a great success again this year with two Eaton Teams being joined by golfers from seven local clubs. Teams consisted of five low handicap players, with the four best scratch scores off the black tees added together to give the team score.
Eaton One, anchored by Matt Robinson scored a superb 70 and were victorious by 12 shots with Sham Jagota (74), Cam Tye (75), Jason Jones (79) and Richard Howell providing the other scores. Prenton came second with 310 and Grange Park were third with 314.
Sandiway's Chris Harrison, who regularly plays well in the Eaton Talbot, again found the course to his liking, winning the individual best gross prize with a fantastic 69 off his +1 handicap.
If you're not working on something you're going backwards. This is probably true in most sports but particularly so in golf. It's never too late, and you're never too old to do something about the state of your game.
