Titleist 917

We have taken delivery of a huge range of Titleist 917 drivers and fairways for stock and demo. Please get in touch or click here if you'd like to try them and have a fitting. Perhaps you could compare them with the fabulous Callaway Epic range?

The new 917 drivers are all about 'complete performance', with plenty of new features designed to let us customise flight, shot shape and spin, whether you're a scratch golfer or a relative newcomer. The 917 metalwoods from Titleist are all about customisation, with adjustable weights and hosels helping every ability of golfer to get the most out of their swing.

A New Member of the Coaching Team

I'm delighted to announce that Graham Roberts will be available to give lessons to all from the beginning of March. Graham, who was a +2 member of Eaton until he turned pro has done a level 1 PGA course and has been a strong presence at the Junior lessons on Sunday mornings and the Girls Golf Rocks that we did on Saturday afternoons last year.

Graham is still intending to play as much tournament golf as possible and in joining my team it will allow him to keep funding his ambitions to play the various competitions open to him. He is reliable, punctual and professional and will, I'm sure be able to get you all playing better.

If you wish to book any of the lessons you see here please phone the Pro Shop on 01244 335826 or click here.

Fitting news

Distance Gains

I have been amazed at how many yards gain we have averaged during fittings this week particularly with people trying graphite shafts in irons to replace their heavy steel ones. Gains of +20 yards through the air is the normal improvement seen like for like with some fittings being +25 yards. This is over 2 clubs longer!

Wouldn't we all prefer to hit a 7 iron to the green rather than a 5? So, if you're over 50 years old and still using steel shafts book a fitting by clicking here to see how much your game is missing. If your 7 iron doesn't go 120 yards and you're still on steel shafts, whatever your age, the same applies.
